Amadin + Marie 5-21-16
The day began early for me on May 21st as I hit the road at 4:43AM. The wedding wasn't scheduled to start until 4:30PM though I wanted to be sure I was there much earlier than I needed to be as I like to get establishing shots for venues where I'll be filming.
Arriving at the Community Life Center around 9AM, I was able to get those great atmospheric shots! The venue was beautiful in and out. A few clouds in the sky, though those were done away with by the ceremony's start time!
As I walked around the venue to find things to film, I stumbled upon the reception area. And WOW! The attention to detail from the Indiana Wedding Decorators was pinpoint accurate. The lighting was amazing. From the spotlight on the thrown like seating on the stage, the spotlight lighting on the dance floor with the couples names shining through, to the bluish color tone to match the garments the bride and groom wore later at their reception, everything was carefully crafted!
Next up was getting shots of the bride and groom. We were in a bit of a time crunch, though I wanted to make sure I got detailed shots of the Bride's dress as well. Again, I typically want to find unorthodox places to hang the dress to give a "wow" factor. I found a stairway at the venue which suited my taste!
After collecting shots of the dress, it was almost time for the first look of the bride and groom. Let me first say, the moment was tense for everyone in attendance. The groom was extremely anxious and excited as his bride made her way down the stairs.
Once the first look was over, we headed to the limo to go take pictures at the Indianapolis Museum of Art which had absolutely beautiful scenery. Though prior to arriving at the venue, I had an idea to pass around my camera to members of the wedding party to get selfie videos! They enjoyed it to say the least!
We had about a 25 minute ride to the photography venue so I decided to capture a brief moment of the ride to the IMA via my iPhone. Have a look!
We arrived at the IMA and went where I was able to grab some great cinematic shots of the bride and groom.
It was then time for the Ceremony! After preparing all of my gear for the nuptials, it was time to hear the couple say "I Do".
It was also great to monitor the main camera footage from my iPad while monitoring the other cameras I had set up. Really convenient!
The reception was full of energy great food and PLENTY of dancing!
After everyone was danced out, it was time for the Sparkler Exit!
Overall, I had an amazing time capturing Amadin + Marie's Wedding. Their energy was contagious and their love bloomed all over Indianapolis. Such an honor to be apart of a stamp in the history of their lives.
